报告人简介: Maria-Pilar Bernal 分别于1993年和1998年在西班牙萨拉戈萨大学完成物理学学士和博士学位。1994年她参与萨拉戈萨大学和IBM Almaden Research Center的联合博士培养项目,研究全息数据存储和微纳光子学。1998年至2001年在瑞士联邦澳门新葡萄新京6663(洛桑)任职博士后研究员。2003年在法国国家科学研究中心(CNRS)Femto-ST研究所担任研究员,2012年任职主任研究员。主要研究方向为铌酸锂纳米光子器件和近场光学显微技术。
Abstract:The optics community has used since decades lithium niobate material for various application like optical modulation, lasers, acousto-optical devices etc. Due to its multiphysical nature (it possesses high electro-optic, acousto-optical, photorefractive, pyroelectric, and nonlinear coefficients), it is rather straightforward to imagine a lithium niobate chip in which thousands of optical functions could be incorporated.
In my talk, I will present the work that my group at CNRS has been doing since the last 10 years in order to achieve this goal. Different active optical functions based on lithium niobate photonic crystals and plasmonic nanostructures combined with lithium niobate will be presented. The possibility of currently working with lithium niobate thin films on SiO2 has allowed us to radically improve the optical performances of these devices. Results on novel photonic nansotuctures based of single crystal lithium niobate will we shown. At last, the application of tunable Fano lithium niobate photonic crystals attached to an optical fiber for electric field sensing will be also demonstrated.
